 Our Life Engagement activities are designed to meet the needs of each resident. These programs are developed around each person's specific interest, abilities, past history, and routine. Engagements flow throughout each day to promote cognitive, sensory, creative, and physical skill.Victoria Gardens staff are experienced in supporting and reinforcing the treasured memoires from years gone by, enriching quality of life for each resident. Through individual and group recreation each resident becomes actively involved in familiar activities, connecting them with others. Programs are individualized to meet the needs and wishes of the resident, encouraging each one to continue with familiar routine tasks that will give them a sense of accomplishment. Residents have the unique opportunity to interact with the children from Lillie's House , our intergenerational child development center and preschool, located within our Hillcrest Health Plaza Community. The children and residents socialize, work and play together on a daily basis. The joy of remembering their own children and the activities they did together brings lots of smiles and memoires of happiness. They read, bake, create craft projects, sing, and talk together with lots of hugs. |
